The band Boosters have been around to support and assist the Milford bands since school bands have existed. It is because of the support of the band parents and families that school bands are so successful. It is our opinion that the fabulous work of the musicians is impacted greatly by the hard work from the booster. The boosters support the band by assisting with fundraisers, making it possible to purchase new instruments; provide meals to ensure students and instructors are well fed so they can work their very best; provide emotional support to the students by cheering them on during performances and supporting their aspirations and dreams.

Beyond this, the Boosters are working year-round to ensure all uniforms and uniform items are in proper order, that we have enough of them, planning events such as Saturday meals, the Kick-Off picnic, and our year end banquet. We assist the band directors in providing programs for all performances, assisting in organizing and planning events such as March Madness, Field Day and Band Camp to name a few.

The Boosters are also meeting regularly to plan for upcoming and the next year events. Your musicians perform for 3 months of the year; however, your Boosters are planning year-round. Much planning and cooperation is needed to assist the directors and musicians in getting our Marching Band to their competitions and to State competition. Busses are needed, chaperones, wonderful parents that come and load all the equipment, unload it at the competition site, re-load it to come home and unload it again when we get back. This is no small feat and takes a lot of planning on all sides. Then we have parades and home football games too. And this is just the Marching Band. Throughout the remainder of the School year your musicians are performing in the auditorium and some musicians even compete and go to other Schools and Colleges to meet other piers that share their passion for music. The Boosters again assist the band director, feed your students and help coral all the musicians to insure they make where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there.

Simply put, there wouldn’t be a Booster if there weren’t a band and there wouldn’t be much of a band without the Boosters. Come see what we are all about. It truly takes a village...
